We've launched in the UK, created personalized suggestions as you Stumble, and pushed updates for our iPhone and Android apps. It feels like it was yesterday that we launched AlternativeTo but we are actually becoming kind of a mature site on our beloved internet. We have gotten a lot of love from our users during the years and we think we have helped a lot of people find better software and web services. We always need more help from our most engaged users like yourself.

If you haven't visited us in a while you will notice that our core features are the same but we have made loads of small improvements all over the site. The forums are more sophisticated, our search works much better, the process of adding apps is so much simpler, we rank software better, you can browse apps by categories and much much more.

If you have just forgotten about the site then we would love for you to come back. As you might remember, we do not use a traditional username/password system.
